I think this might be one of my favourite gifsets. Like, ever.

Someone mentions Phantom or Les Mis…
My time to shine.
It was half breath, half music; it rose softly from the waters of the lake; and I was surrounded by it through I knew not what artifice.

UNIQUE: Gene Kelly attends Freddie’s 77th birthday and both seem like the closest friends ever! The Babbit and the bromide couldn’t be seen happier!

It doesn’t matter if it’s raining. It doesn’t matter if it’s May and it’s freezing cold and has been raining for three days. When it’s raining, put on swing music, put on your headphones, and if you have to walk anywhere you’ll feel like Gene Kelly.
Somehow getting wet didn’t seem like such a big deal anymore.

Attending the Screen Producers Guild 12th annual Milestone Awards dinner are, from left, Julie Andrews, Fred Astaire, Shirley Jones and Gene Kelly at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Hollywood, Ca., March 1, 1964.

Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly - The Babbitt and the Bromide
You really should just take the seven minutes out of your life to watch this. It’ll set up your day.
Ever notice how delightfully awkward this movie is?My ALL TIME Favourite movie musical. Sigh.
Ever since I saw that movie a year ago, I’ve wished that life could be like one of those musicals from the Golden Era.
That you could just spontaneously burst out in song and/or dance whenever and wherever you felt like, and instead of giving you strange looks and tell you to shut up, people would automatically know the lyrics/steps and join in.
But one thing about this article, WHY HAVE I NEVER NOTICED THAT A PIECE OF THAT CAKE ACTUALLY LANDS ON HIS FACE??!!?!?!??
I mean,Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra singing and dancing, while
dressed as sailors…
Just look at them:
The phone scene was the hottest scene that Gene Kelly has ever done in movie history without any clevage he makes love to a phone with that sexy voice it just makes you almost ‘pass out’ I wish i was that phone lol!!!! :)
Or the lucky person in the other end… *sigh*
